Command G41 - cutter
The G41 command
assigns a tool offset to the left, that is, shifts the cutting tool to the left
of the tool path to compensate for the size of the cutting tool used.
To implement the
correct correction, the radius or diameter of the cutting tool must be
programmed in the word D.
If the offset value
specified by the radius or diameter of the tool in the D word is negative, the
tool correction will be performed as if the
G42 command was set
(cutter compensation right). The right or left side of the path of movement of
the cutting tool are determined when looking at the cutting tool, when it is
removed from the operator.
The command G41 is modal.
G41 is included in the modal group
7 (Units) (G40,G41,G42).
